THIS IS
F.J. BLOOM

Named directly for my grandmother, Faye Julia Bloom, this little business was born out of a desire to stay creative. We aim to share the beauty of flowers and build connections in the community.

HELLO, I’M FAYE

Thank you for visiting my page!

Staying curious is something I truly value. I often refer to myself as a life long learner or even a late bloomer. My passion for floristry has been a steady call over time. After working as a school teacher in the primary grades, I enrolled in horticulture classes at the local community college. Those studies led to working at a plant nursery where I created custom indoor and outdoor container designs. My love for plants grew into a curiosity for how to grow my own cut flowers in the garden. I was smitten with the process of growing a flower from a tiny seed to full bloom! Having flowers at my fingertips led to a strong desire to learn to arrange beautiful stems in a vessel. Classes ensued. Most recently, I worked as a florist in a lovely shop in downtown Edmonds.

As a flower enthusiast and a creative, this venture is the next step in my flower journey. We at F.J. BLOOM believe in the power of beauty in all of life’s moments. I cannot wait to create something for you.

SUSTAINABLE FLORISTRY

At F.J. BLOOM we will often incorporate flowers from our own garden into your arrangement, and also curate seasonal, local and regionally grown flowers.

We embrace the use of sustainable mechanics. As an alternative to floral foam in our arrangements, we choose to use coated chicken wire and/or hairpin frogs which are multi-use resources for floral design.
